"A man of few words" means one who talks less. So, it always carries "few", but not "a few,".

Here it's "qualities" but "quality". When it's qualities, we can count it. But we can not count "quality", as it's a uncountable noun.

Older is already in comparative degree. more is also comparative degree so you can't use more but much
Tis is not a specific precept that always in negative and interrogative sentence "any" should be used. We can say "can you give me some water?"
