(a) First say which of the following sentences are simple and which are compound. Then find out the co-ordinate clauses:

    (i) I saw a camel yesterday.

   (vii) Work hard, otherwise you will fail.

    (viii) He is not only rich but also happy.

    (ix) Rice and curry tastes good.
    👉 Compound Sentence.

    (x) I saw a running dog on the road and
    a singing bird on the tree.
    👉 Compound Sentence.

    (xi) Leela is a good dancer.
    👉 Simple Sentence.

   (xii) Many of the soldiers died, still
    they didn't lose heart.
    👉 Compound Sentence.

    (xiii) He couldn't get out of the danger,
    though had been trying a lot to be out
    if it.
    👉 Compound Sentence.

    (xiv) Do or die.
    👉 Compound Sentence

(b) Fill in the blanks with appropriate co-ordinating conjunctions:
